Inspiration

My introduction is going to be based around the story featured in the 1972 book, Roadside Picnic. It will share features with the book to retain the it's style and the style of the film 1979 film 'Stalker' that it inspired.

More specifically, the aspects I will take from these sources will be the long shots, use of little music and the ambiguity, it will feature little dialogue and will be, at first, ambiguous as to create mystery in the audience. Colour will slowly become more vibrant as the scene goes on.

Some of the features I mentioned can be seen in the theatrical trailer for the film. Though it should be noted that it was heavily edited to seem a lot more action orientated than the film actually was.
